THE BAND

Earth Flight is a rock band from Nuremberg/Germany, jamming together since summer 2004. The founding members are Martin Stuellein (bass guitar, ex-Deliahs Prophecy, ex-Excoriate), Sebastian Engelhardt (drums, Excoriate), Andreas Blendinger (guitars, ex-Vanity Fair) and Tobias Brunner (vocals, ex-At Daggers Drawn). Their music is mainly influenced by heavy, doomed and psychedelic sounds of the early 70's but taking in account an even wider range of influences to form their individual brand of heavy rock.

Beginning of April 2005, Earth Flight recorded their self-financed debut 4-track MCD at BluBox Studio in Troisdorf/Germany lead-managed by Guido Lucas (known for producing Harmful, Smoke Blow, Blackmail, Scumbucket, Ulme, etc.). The MCD captures the earliest songs composed in summer 2004 and managed to gain lots of praise and interest within the Doom/Heavy Rock scene.

The recording of the first full-length album took place at the same studio in September/October 2006. This time recorded and mixed by Guido Lucas and Lobo Panic (Klangewalt, Körperwerk). The resulting 9-track album shows the music of the band in a more multifaceted way than the debut MCD and was released one year later (October 2007) through Barbarian Wrath Records.

In early 2007 the Flight experienced some turbulances and went through some changes. Therefore they decided to part ways with bass navigator Martin Stuellein in February 2007. To keep the sonic vehicle in its full flight two new members joined the band: Sabrina Teleki (keyboards, Falling Nature) and Benjamin Mueller (bass guitar, Oceanic).

Invigorated by a large number of successful live gigs Earth Flight proves with each show that they are an energetic and diversified force on stage. However the franconian sound operators are still about to navigate further into astonishing realms of sonic sceneries and intoxicating harmonies. Be forewarned...
